STL splitter with alignment pins

your files never leave your device

3D Model Splitter cuts a 3D model that is too big for your print bed into printable parts, and adds pin-and-socket connectors so the parts line up when you put them back together.

  1. Upload an STL (binary or ASCII).
  2. Click the model where you want to cut, then position the split plane.
  3. Place the connector, check the split, and download the parts as a ZIP.
What file types can I split?
Binary and ASCII STL files.
Will the parts still be printable?
Yes. Every part is closed along the cut, so it stays a solid, watertight body your slicer can handle.
How do the parts fit back together?
3D Model Splitter adds a pin to one part and a matching socket to the other. Pin radius, height, taper and fit tolerance are adjustable to suit your printer.
Is it finished?
Not yet. 3D Model Splitter is in alpha: it works, but expect bugs. The feedback button goes straight to me.
